Every day, families in Alberta face the unimaginable challenge of caring for a sick child. While hospitals provide world-class medical care, families often need a place to stay close to treatment, meals, and transportation support. That’s where the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Alberta steps in, and thanks to the partnership with The Build Project Foundation, more families are finding a home away from home during these difficult times.

The Build Project Foundation, founded by Aspen Brick and Stone & Boss Design, is driven by a vision of community collaboration, tackling housing challenges and creating opportunities for underserved communities. Currently, two independent units within an apartment complex neighboring the Edmonton Ronald McDonald House are available for families in need. These additional spaces are critical: with only 14% of demand being met, at least three families check into an Alberta Ronald McDonald House every day. By helping fund and maintain these units (while working toward acquiring more) the foundation directly alleviates the emotional, financial, and physical burdens families face during medical crises.

How You Can Help

Your support, whether as an individual or business, plays a vital role. Every contribution, large or small, helps the foundation provide safe, welcoming spaces for families while continuing to grow their impact in the Edmonton region.

Upcoming Events

The Build Project Foundation’s annual Golf Invitational is one of the most anticipated events on the charitable calendar! Since its inaugural tournament in June 2023, the event has grown in both impact and energy:

2023: $32,000 raised

2024: Nearly $30,000, featuring a spontaneous Oilers watch party

2025: A record-breaking $47,000

The 2026 Invitational promises to be even bigger. Set for June 26, 2026, at Red Tail Landing Golf Club in Nisku, the tournament is limited to 144 golfers, but the celebration doesn’t end on the greens. Attendees can purchase tickets for their significant others, friends, and colleagues to join the post-golf dinner, featuring:

Cocktails and dinner
Foundation announcements and program highlights
A $100,000 Hole-in-One Contest
Entertainment by Atomic Improv
A massive silent auction with incredible items

Whether you’re hitting the course or joining the dinner, this is an opportunity to mingle with friends, meet leaders in the industry, and have a little fun, all while supporting families in need.

Boots on the ground in our communities — your participation, no matter the size, truly matters. Together, we can continue building homes, hope, and opportunities for families who need them most.

Join us on June 26 and help feed the soul with charitable fun. This isn’t just a golf tournament. It’s a celebration of community, generosity, and the power of coming together for a cause that truly matters.
