Two years ago, Boss Design along with Aspen Brick and Stone, created The Build Project Foundation, a charitable venture with the mission of helping our communities through building and design. Since then, our journey has included multiple fundraising events that were both successful and memorable. These fundraising efforts led to the significant partnership announcement between The Build Project Foundation and Ronald McDonald Charities Alberta in the Spring of 2024. This partnership has allowed us to apply our design expertise to a cause we deeply believe in: providing sanctuary and support to families in need during medical crises.
At Boss Design, we pride ourselves on a meticulous approach. So of course, this philosophy was at the heart of our latest project: The top to bottom transformation of a neighbouring apartment unit adjacent to the main Edmonton Ronald McDonald House. We designed, built, and decorated this unit into additional housing space that offers comfort and security to families requiring close proximity to the Stollery Children’s Hospital.
Our team approached this challenge with both sensitivity and precision and so every decision was made to meet the unique needs of the families that this space will serve. From soothing colour palettes that create a calming environment, to the layouts that enhance accessibility, every element has been curated to provide an inviting and supportive atmosphere.
The extra space we have created enables Ronald McDonald House Charities Alberta to significantly reduce their waitlist, offering relief and reassurance to families during their most challenging times. We are proud to contribute to this cause, knowing that our efforts help provide a home-away-from-home for those who need it most.
